SLOW SEEING - The Odyssey

Exclusive vernissage SLOW SEEING in the moated castle

Far away from the hustle and bustle of the world's major cities, the moated castle Haus Marck on the edge of the Teutoburg Forest is a place of peace and inspiration. Every now and then I stay here for a while to reflect on my work and develop new ideas. This is where my works can unfold their full effect. They do something to people who are willing to engage with them. THE ODYSSEE from the work group AIR MEETS WATER, water surfaces in motion reflects the magic of Ithaca, the home of the legendary Odysseus in the Ionian Sea.

TRADITION, INNOVATION, COMMUNICATION are the breeding ground for creative processes at HAUS MARCK.

Data artist Christin Schäfer from Munich is taking part in HAUS MARCK for the first time this year. I was introduced to her last year during the international blockchain conference in Berlin. Her series "Girl with a Pearl Earring", which is based on the famous Jan Vermeer painting, immediately impressed me. This new interpretation from Christin's EINDRUCK group of works stands at the interface between tradition and innovation.

The exclusive vernissage on March 17, 2024 was very well attended. In an interview with the charismatic owner of HAUS MARCK, Ricarda von Diepenbroick, we provided insights into the creative processes and inspirations behind our artworks.
